Frequently Asked Questions
One Fund structure
First, the investment opportunities available through OneFund are not available via a traditional brokerage account. The shares purchased via OneFund are not publicly traded and represent ownership in a private equity or venture capital investment.
Second, investments made via OneFund are meant to be held to full maturity and are not intended for resale. An investment should only be made with money that you will not need access to for the next several years.
No, OneFund is not a private equity or venture capital fund. Rather, we partner with premier and established private equity and venture capital funds to reserve allocations typically only available to the largest institutional and private investors and offer them to you. This means you get to invest alongside some of the best private market investors around.
We want you to have access to the BEST private equity and venture capital investors. Private market investing is a crowded and competitive field with thousands of competing firms worldwide. Instead of adding another firm to that list, we want those who invest with OneFund to have the comfort of knowing they are accessing exclusively top-tier investment firms.
Our goal is to offer a platform where individuals can examine private equity and venture capital funds and decide which ones are right for them. On top of this, we aim to only let top funds on our platform to ensure the best result for you. We examine a fund's performance, people, and thesis before putting them on OneFund.

About my investment
Currently, we are working to offer top-tier private equity and venture capital investment opportunities. In the future, we hope to expand this offering to a complete suite of alternative investment options including hedge funds, credit, and infrastructure options to name a few.
Private equity and venture capital investments typically have low liquidity, meaning that they cannot be resold and are intended to be held through their maturity. We recommend reading the fund specific information before making an investment.
Private equity and venture capital are long term investments (typically 5 years or more). When combined with their low liquidity, you should only invest money that you are certain you will not need during the lifetime of the investment. We recommend reading the fund specific information before making an investment.
We will offer an investor portal where you can log in to see the status of your investments. In addition, we will share regular updates and reports with you as your selected fund invests in and exits positions in companies.
